Noah
The Faithful Builder
Key Scripture
“Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.”
— Genesis 6:22

✦Life Story
In a generation described as completely corrupt, one man walked with God — Noah. When God told him to build a massive ship in the middle of dry land for a flood that had never come before, Noah obeyed without recorded argument or hesitation. He built for decades, preached to a world that mocked him, and watched his neighbors continue as though tomorrow was guaranteed. When the rain came, the ark was ready. After 150 days on water, the dove came back with an olive branch, God set a rainbow in the sky, and history had a new beginning. Noah's story raises the question every generation must answer: When it seems absurd, will you trust the word of God over the wisdom of the world?
Famous Scriptures
Genesis 9:13–15
The Rainbow Covenant
“I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: and I will remember my covenant... and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.”
Hebrews 11:7
By Faith Noah
“By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.”
Genesis 6:22
Thus Did Noah
“Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.”
Daily Challenge
Build the thing God has told you to build, even when the people around you don't understand it — Noah's ark looked foolish until the rain came.
Prayer
God of Noah, give me the kind of obedience that does not require the applause of others to act on Your word. Let me walk with You as Noah did, faithfully and without compromise. Amen.
